Welcome to Wander Over Yonder Wiki! Please familiarize yourself with the basic rules for the best possible experience.

Principles for Editing

• Be bold in editing pages. Do not discourage anybody from contributing, and do not let anybody discourage you! All edits are fair game for good-faith revision.

• Be polite and civil to other users, especially during an editing dispute or potentially sensitive discussions.

• Assume good faith during disagreements with other editors. Unless their contribution blatantly violated our "Conduct for the Community" (see below), assume the other person is trying to positively contribute to WOY Wiki.

• When in doubt, take it to the talk page. If two or more users disagree over an edit, discuss it on the subject's "Talk" page. Be open to understanding the other side and practice mutual respect. Remember to sign your posts on talk pages using ~~~~ (four tildes), which shows up as your username and timestamp when you hit "Save." Do not sign anywhere on info pages about Wander Over Yonder.

• Edit summaries whenever you modify pages is strongly encouraged. Other users need to understand your process, and it also helps you remember what you did if you revisit the page in the future. Try to state what you changed and why.

Conduct For The Community

• No Profanity is allowed anywhere on WOY Wiki. Please keep language PG, especially while creating and editing pages about Wander Over Yonder, categories, templates, etc.
  • You must be 13 years old or older to be on the wiki, therefore, do not say something if it would be inappropriate around a 13-year-old.

• No Insults or Harassment towards other users for any reason. If somebody does something inappropriate, politely explain it to them, and if you suspect their actions violated the rules, go straight to an admin instead of arguing.
  • Do not treat anybody with hostility for having a different opinion.
  • Do not impersonate other users or real-life people.
  • Do not spread rumors, false info, or personal details about other users.
  • Do not discuss religion or politics. It is OK to mention a religious affiliation on your profile.
  • No trolling, i.e. behavior with the main purpose of provoking negative reactions.

• No Slurs or Hate Speech will be permitted. WOY Wiki defines hate speech as aggressive language or behavior towards somebody on the basis of religion, sexuality, race, gender, etc. Even if you meant something as an edgy, non-malicious joke, it's not appropriate.

• No Spamming or Flooding on the discussion feed or other users' profiles. WOY Wiki defines spam as posting meaningless or unintelligible statements, links, or images. Flooding is posting the same things over and over.
  • Do not advertise other wikis or your social media outside of your profile. It is OK to share it directly with another user in a conversation.

• No Vandalizing pages about Wander Over Yonder or user profiles. WOY Wiki defines vandalizing as bad-faith edits intended to compromise a page by adding off-topic content, false info, or wiping existing content without cause. Creating new pages with content that's off-topic or violates the rules is also vandalism.

• No Pornographic, Suggestive, or Violent Content is allowed. We have a zero-tolerance policy for graphic material, even if it's "censored."

• No Inappropriate Usernames can be used. If you have a username containing slurs, hate speech, or explicitly sexual language, you may be indefinitely blocked. You are free to rejoin under a new account with an appropriate username.

• No Evading Blocks issued by admins. With the exception of being blocked for an inappropriate username, any attempts to get around a block will be punished.
