At the Lost Temple of Tagathoria, Lord Hater seeks the light half of the Sword of Synergy, which he plans to combine with the dark half he stole from the Warrior Monks of Malakar. However, when he approaches the tomb where the other half should be, he finds that Sir Brad Starlight has stolen the light half of the sword already. The two duel it out in the cavernous area, wrecking the surrounding area. Wander is hiding behind a pillar which their battle destroys, and calls out the both.
Surprised at his presence, the two are shocked as Wander says he is playing hide-and-go-seek with Sylvia and invites them to play as well before running out. Hater and Starlight are surprised that the both of them see Wander as a common enemy, since Wander destroyed Brad's wedding and thwarted dozens of Hater's plans, one of which also happens to include his wedding to Sylvia in disguise. Hater reluctantly offers a partnership with Brad to destroy Wander since they share a common enemy.
The two begin searching for Wander, who is still thinking it is simply a game, with the two arguing over who is the "leader" before login to find Wander as the first one to find him will be declared so. However, they soon find themselves to be playing hide and seek much like Wander wanted them to do. Annoyed at this turn of events, Hater and Brad set off to make snare traps on their own to catch Wander. Wander pops his head out of a nearby log after they walk off, concerned that the two are not good at playing the game.
Just hen, he hears Hater's barely disguised voice called for help and rushes off. Hater, disguised in drag as a blonde damsel in distress tied to a tree, sees someone approaching and traps them in a crude cage.. However, he has trapped Brad, who really thinks Hater was a "fair maiden" that he has rescued and does not recognize, even telling "the maiden' that an "ill-tempered skeleton man" who is mean and ugly, before finally recognizing Hater. He denies that the plane oddly work, while Hater points out that he was stupid enough to fall for it.
The two decide to use Brad's plan, which also involves dressing as a damsel-in-distress tied to a tree, but when Hater says it is the exact same plan as his, while Brad dismisses him as saying he is a redhead and has higher cheekbones. As Hater is about to punch brad, Wander comes out of the bushes and calls a timeout. He says he has been hiding for a long time and asks the two if they are even playing hide-and-seek, before changing into a similar blue dress to the others and asking if they are playing a dress-up game. Hater grabs Wander and runs off with him while insulting Brad and blowing a long raspberry.
Hater calls Peepers to extract him back to the ship to torture Wander when he is clotheslined by Brad, who runs off with Wander, before being zapped by Hater's lightning. The two engage in a long back-and-forth of capturing Wander before being caught in the other's traps and losing him. Wander, who still believes they are playing a game, asks if they even know the rules of hide-and-seek. Eventually, hater and brad end up tussling off a cliff and landing on their faces, while Wanders lands on them. The two start fighting while Wander escapes and tells them he will hide again so Sylvia can find him, telling them to join when they're ready.
Hater and Brad eventually tire out and blame the other for letting Wander get away, and being fighting again before realizing that, with their halves of the Sword of Synergy combined, they can destroy Wander. Elsewhere, Sylvia finishes counting to 5,000,000, having used the long count to get a nap in. Just then, she sees the nearby temple lit up by the sword's energies, blowing up the surrounding area in the process. As Brad and Hater hold aloft the combined sword while hugging the other close, they proclaim they will be equal in killing Wander together. They blast a beam of energy at a tree, turning it to ash and revealing a hiding Wander. The sword's energy then is used to pull Wander in to them, who admits that while it might be the end, he is happy that good and evil put aside their differences to work together, to Brad's annoyance.
Wander continues saying that Brad talked Hater over to the side of good, which stokes Brad's ego image of being a dashing hero, while Hater says he lured Brad over. to the side of evil. The two begin arguing again, and eventually pull the sword apart, shattering the halves in the process. Brad and Hater soon get in a slap fight, while Sylvia finds Wander and hugs him. Wander and Sylvia then walk off to play another game of hide and seek while Brad and Hater continue fighting.

Quotes[]
Hater: Here, follow me.
Brad: Great idea. The scout goes first, the leader takes up the rear. |
Lord Hater: Hey, if we're doing traps, I should totally be the one in charge. I'm, like, the best at traps.
Brad Starlight: Fine. Set your own snare. We'll see who snares Wander first. It shall be me to snare him. I shall be the snare-master! |
(Starlight is roped to a tree in drag while Hater is also dressed in drag.)
Lord Hater: THIS IS THE EXACT SAME PLAN! |
Wander: Even though this may be the end, I'm just so happy the last thing I get to see is good and evil putting aside their differences to work together. |
Hater: Hold on! If anything, I converted you to the side of evil! Brad: Please! I demurred for the sake of compromise, but I am clearly the dominant force in this partnership! |
Background Information[]

- Fourth episode where Hater appears without Commander Peepers ("The Stray", "The Big Job", "The Helper")
- And the second episode where he is only mentioned. ("The Helper")

Continuity[]
- Brad calls back to the events of "The Hero", saying Wander ruined his chances to marry Princess Demurra. Also, Lord Hater calls back to the events of "The Date", where Wander supposedly "ruins his wedding" and references Sylvia's Lynn disguise.
Errors[]
- Brad states that Wander ruined his wedding, but it was actually Demurra who handled him.
- Moreover, both he and Wander ruined Demurra's wedding with Drakor.
- The stitches Brad shows on his cape disappear in the following scene.
Allusions[]
- Star Wars - The two halves to the Sword of Synergy bear similarities to the lightsabers from the Star Wars franchise. Even Hater and Starlight's duel is similar to the final battle between Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader.
- He Man and the Masters of the Universe/Blackstar - The Sword of Synergy being a two-part weapon fought over by good and evil, its halves divided between the two forces, gives it similarity to both the PowerStar sword from the series Blackstar, as well as the original concept for the Power Sword from the Masters of the Universe franchise. Brad Starlight and Lord Hater joining forces to destroy Wander resembles a similar situation in the He Man mini-comics where He Man and Skeletor joined forces against a common foe (Trapjaw) by uniting their halves of the Power Sword against him. (The fact that Hater resembles Skeletor not withstanding.)
