The Star Nomad was planned to be a major setting for the canceled third season. It had a single in-show cameo appearance in The Waste of Time. On October 9th, 2017, Craig McCracken confirmed the name of the ship on X.[1] The next day, he posted the full illustration from the episode on Tumblr, captioning it "THE STAR NOMAD" and tagging it as "Wander season 3."[2]
On May 19th, 2018, the Star Nomad had a second cameo during a crossover sequence in the series finale of DisneyXD's Future-Worm! Wander could be seen in the lower crow's nest of the main mast, with Sylvia at the steering wheel.[3]
Major Details[]
In mid 2023, Craig was interviewed and shared new details about the Star Nomad. After defeating Lord Dominator in The End of the Galaxy, all of the characters would be stranded on the secret planet. In order to bring everybody back home, Wander would lead a team effort to rebuild a ship that crash landed during The Secret Planet. The ship would have been powered by orbbles, and Lord Hater, Commander Peepers, and the Watchdogs would be among its passengers. Wander and Hater would have shared a room. Craig explained the thought process behind The Star Nomad: "We realized in certain episodes, when we put (Wander, Sylvia, Hater, Peepers) together, they were like magic. We were like, 'How do we do more of that?'"[4]
