Ripov is an arachnomorph hunter. It's implied by her second line of dialog in "The Search for Captain Tim" that arachnomorphs infiltrated her ship and wiped out her crew. Lord Hater, after Captain Tim went missing, teamed up with her to find him. When they arrived on the arachnomorph home world, Hater fought to prevent her from killing Captain Tim and accidentally trapped them in the web of the Arachnoqueen. Ultimately, Captain Tim defied his instincts to mate with the Arachnoqueen and rescued everyone, leading Ripov to consider "bad things can change."
Personality[]
Ripov has an intense, grizzled demeanor, taking herself and the galaxy-wide threat of arachnomorphs very seriously. She's assertive, barking at Lord Hater for resisting her by complaining when she inspects his arm, or opening her ship's door while arachnomorphs are charging towards them. She's not easily intimidated, willing to fight Hater without hesitation after he prevents her from shooting Captain Tim. Despite her tough, headstrong attitude, Ripov was willing to let her guard down and praise Captain Tim for defeating the Arachnoqueen.

- Her name likely plays off both "Ripley" and the word "rip-off."
- Similar to Sylvia, Lord Hater never gets overly nervous around Ripov despite her being a girl.
- Ripov was originally conceptualized as the daughter of the deceased Tim from "The Pet" out for revenge, but it was scrapped for being "too gruesome,"[1] "too morally confusing," and "dumb."[2]
